Japanese Style Coals
Japanese Style Coals come in sticks that are broken into four different tabs. They are easily lit compared to natural coals, though not as fast as the quicklite (obviously).
How to Lite:
The best way to lite Japanese Style Coals is to place them on a hot surface, stove top, for around 5 mins. When the coal itself is red and the grey has burnt off of it then you should be good to go.

Finger Coals
The most standard form of natural charcoal is the syrian finger coal. These coals are extruded under pressure to form a consistant round stick. This uniformity makes the charcoal very easy to light, even on an electric stove.
How to Lite:
Like the Japanese Style Coals, place finger coals on a hot surface, stove top, for around 5 mins.

Natural / Lump Coals
Natural coals offer a long burning life with very little taste that comes off of them. They also take more management than the other coals to get proper heating. Include Lemonwood, Cocoshells, Olivewood, and Natural.
How to Lite:
Like the Japanese Style Coals, place finger coals on a hot surface, stove top, but for a longer time like 10 mins. Also concider using a torch to light them quicker.
